Personalized Scriptures For Your Toughest Seasons

Have you ever gotten to the point where you’re completely exhausted and just have had it with everything and everyone else including God? If you haven’t, I thank God for your life but if you have before, are currently there right now, or you are finding yourself there more frequently, then this might just be for you. Life gets hard and things don’t always go the way we plan them; plans fail, people fail. and sometimes we fail. Sometimes God seems so far away and silent like he’s turned a deaf ear and a blind eye. These are the exact moments when it appears like the devil is taunting us, rubbing our failures in our face and the lies he tells actually begin to take the appearance of truth.
Truth is only you can aptly describe where you are right now and how you feel, but this one thing remains true-God loves you like a father, much more than your earthly father ever could. He sees and hears everything and he’ll make all things beautiful in His time. One of the things I have found the most important in seasons like this is drenching myself in the word of God. Not just any word of God but a very personalized form as though God was standing in front of me speaking. Read them every morning, make songs with them, put them around your house, in your car, in your locker at school or your table at work. When you crowd yourself with the truth, you give no room for the infiltration of lies. Here’s some of the scripture I’ve found helpful and personalized over time.
ISAIAH 43:1-3
But now thus says the Lord, my creator, he who formed me, I will not fear for he has redeemed me, he has called me by name, I am his.
When I pass through the waters, he’ll be with me
When I pass through the rivers, they’ll not sweep over me
When I walk through the fire, I will not be burned,
These flames will not burn me.

ISAIAH 41:10
I will not fear for he is with me
I will not look anxiously about me for he is my God
He will strengthen me, surely he will help me.
Surely he will uphold me with his righteous right hand.

HEBREWS 13:5-6
He will never leave me, nor will he ever forsake me,
So I can confidently say,
he Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid, what can man do to me?

PSALM 121
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains
From where shall my help come from
My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth
He will not allow my foot to slip
He who keeps me will not slumber
Behold, he who keeps me will neither sleep nor slumber
The lord is my keeper
The lord is my shade on my right hand
The sun will not smite me by day
Nor the moon by night
The lord will keep my soul
The lord will guide my going out and coming in
From this time forth and forever

PSALM 46
God is my refuge and strength
A very present help in trouble
Therefore I will not fear though the earth should change
Though its waters roar and foam
Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride
God is in my midst I will not be moved
God will help me when morning dawns
The lord of hosts is with me
The god of Jacob is my stronghold
