Morning Habits to Start Your Day on the Right Track
Struggling to obey the sound of that obnoxious alarm, dragging yourself out of bed, getting dressed then rushing out the house in a frenzy hoping to beat 8′ o clock traffic, let’s face it- the mornings aren’t exactly the brightest part of the day (Well… figuratively speaking that is) but it is a crucial part of it and what you do in the mornings can make or break your day. We’ve put together a list of Morning Habits to pick up to ensure that your days are always off to a good start and that you’ll always be ready to kick some devil butt!
Stretch. You may not be able to fit in a full hour workout in the morning but a simple 5-minute stretch can be all it takes to propel your day into the right direction! Stretching is a quick way to wake up your body and give the blood flow a quick kick start which will result in sharper senses and more focus. Stretching also wakes up your muscles and help generate more energy for you to start off your day with.
Eat a Healthy Breakfast. Breakfast will help you stay focused, give you more energy throughout the day and also help you control your weight. For well-balanced breakfast ideas, Check out our article, “Quick Breakfast Ideas to Keep you Full and Energized.”
Spend Time With God. Spending Time with God should be a daily priority but giving God the first fruits of our day by spending the first moments of our day with Him is a great habit to pick up! Spending time with God in the morning shows that we are willing to surrender to Him and give Him full control over our day. In return, he gives us clarity, direction, productivity, and the strength and grace to fulfill all our responsibilities for the day.

Prophesy Over Your Day. This is a quick but effective habit you should pick up. The bible teaches that in our tongue lies the power of death and life so use it to speak life into your day. When we prophesy over our day we are taking hold of our God- given right and authority and demanding that our day will go a certain way. The best way to do this is to use the word of God and declare it over yourself out loud. Say scriptures such as “I am blessed and highly favored.”, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”, “I am more than a conqueror.”
Cover yourself with the full armor of the Lord and plead the blood of Jesus over yourself. Don’t just stop at pleading the blood over you, plead it over your family, your car, your job, your church, everywhere you may tread your feet or lay your head! Even plead it over your mind, your heart, your emotions, etc. The blood and the armor act as a supernatural protection that protects us from any attacks the enemy may have planned for us that day.
