Love Letters to My Bridegroom
“I have loved you with everlasting love I have drawn you with lovingkindness”. Jeremiah 31:3., He wrote me.
I dream about when I will see Him face to face. I am not afraid to loose Him. He promised me His love is everlasting. I looked to see what He meant. He meant that it lasts forever. That it is eternal, never ending. Perpetual, undying. Indestructible, infinite and timeless. Sometimes I doubt. I doubt that His love for me could be that perfect. Then, I find another letter. He tells me “ I am His treasured possession”. Psalms 135:4. Now I dream again. I can’t wait to spend time with Him. My bridegroom always makes sure I see His letters to me. He wants me to remember Him. I start making plans for the wedding. He is longing for a bride “in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she may be holy and without blemish”. Ephesians 5:27. I start feeling like I can’t possibly be that bride. I don’t deserve Him. He tells me He purchased me. That I belong to Him. 1 Corinthians 6:19. He makes sure I find one of His love letters every time I spend time with Him. Sometimes I forget what He said to me. He reminds me “I am going to prepare a place for you”. I want to watch the romantic chick flicks and the Hallmark movies. I am always expecting the best love story with a beautiful ending. But, so does my Bridegroom. He promises me a beautiful end that lasts through eternity. It is never ending! Indeed the best love story ever told!
