Bethel’s Amanda Lindsey Cook Releases New Album ‘House on a Hills’

After a long hiatus, Bethel Music’s Amanda Lindsey Cook’s has finally satiated the longing of faithful fans by releasing House On A Hill, available now.

House On A Hill is the product of Cook withdrawing away for two months into a secluded house in the wooded hills of Nashville, Tennessee. If retreating into the hills was done to allow Amanda to connect and process her innermost emotions, while also connecting with the creator,  the unfeigned, and raw lyrics of the album’s track, makes it evident that it this was a success.

Not only does the album tells the song of a gracefully broken and vulnerable Amanda, but listeners are able to hear the process of God renewing her mind and spirit. As listeners, we in turn are also able to find renewing in our minds and spirit as well.

In summary, this album is the soundtrack of rest- Rest in the revelation of God’s anew mercies, and his unfailing, unrelenting love for us.

“I think it’s really essential to create rhythms of rest. There are some things that only actually ever happen when we slow down long enough to be still and let everything catch up to us. It’s the wound in us that wants to be healed that’s trying to catch up,” said Cook. “This record, in particular, came at a really crucial moment. One of my producers basically said to me, ‘I think you need to write your way through it. I think you need to sing your way through it.'”

Amanda sings on the title track House on a Hill:

“Some things you can’t know till you’re still In the silence Let your spinning thoughts slow down In the stillness Things have a way of working out … Allow me to introduce Myself again I’m the Love you used to think could not exist I’m as sure as where you’re standing and as free as the wind You don’t have to reach for me, cause this is where I am.”

These lyrics testify of just how potent the spirit of God is throughout this album. Listening to it is like breathing in a breath of fresh air, or rather, like receiving a fresh touch from God.

House on a Hill is one of the top worship albums of the year. This is truly a great album and a moving and prayerful worship experience,” noted New Release Today.
